On the basis of retaining the basic properties of PEEK, our company's PEEK GF30 plates adds glass fiber to make the material more rigid and wear-resistant:

1. Mechanical properties

The tensile strength of pure peek is about 90-100 MPa, but after adding 30% glass fiber, the tensile strength can be increased to 150-180 MPa, an increase of 60-80%. The glass fiber itself is very strong, which can help share the external force and limit the sliding between peek molecular chains. The bending modulus has also jumped from the original 3-4 GPa to 10-12 GPA, and the deformation resistance has been significantly enhanced. It is especially suitable for high-precision parts, such as gears and bearings.

2. Corrosion resistance

In addition to concentrated sulfuric acid, our company's PEEK GF30 sheet is not afraid of any solvents and strong acids and bases, and its chemical stability is very good. Even if the temperature is relatively high, it is still stable and not easy to be corroded.

3. Tribological performance

The glass fiber itself is relatively hard, which reduces the friction coefficient of peek from 0.3-0.4 to 0.15-0.2, and the wear rate is significantly reduced. For example, peek containing 15% glass fiber was used for a hydraulic seal ring, and its service life was extended from 800 hours to 3000 hours. However, it should be noted that too much glass fiber (more than 40%) may abrade the mating parts, so we generally use it with PTFE or graphite as lubricating materials.

4. Hydrolysis resistance

Even when peek products of our company are immersed in steam at 260 ° C or in high-pressure water for a long time, the performance is basically not off-line, and it can work for thousands of hours. In common engineering plastics, peek has excellent water and steam resistance.

5. Long term heat aging performance

The addition of glass fiber slowed down the aging rate of PEEK molecular chain at high temperature. After 1000 hours at 200 ℃, the strength retention rate of Glass Fiber Reinforced PEEK is 20% -30% higher than that of pure peek. This is mainly because glass fiber forms a physical barrier to block the penetration of oxygen.

6. Dimensional stability
