Here at Guangzhou Ideal, we're all about PEEK plastic molds and injection molding. We've been doing this for over 14 years, especially with our PEEK injection moulding parts process. So, what's PEEK? It's short for polyetheretherketone – a special kind of plastic that's seriously tough. The way its tiny building blocks are arranged is pretty unique: it's got strong benzene rings combined with flexible ether and carbonyl links. This lets the molecules bond together really tightly. In simple terms, it's a high-performance material made by reacting two raw materials in a specific solvent. Because of this, PEEK is super wear-resistant, a great electrical insulator, can handle radiation, has stable chemical properties, and withstands high temperatures. It's even safe to use inside the human body because it's biocompatible.
Our PEEK injection moulding parts is a real game-changer for making complex and delicate parts. It really shines when it comes to high-precision items, thin-walled components, or parts with lots of fine details. The precision we can hold is a steady ±0.015 millimeters, and we can make walls as thin as 0.3 millimeters or create deep hole structures. This method ensures the plastic fills the mold completely, which helps us avoid issues like stress buildup or parts warping later on. So, products made with PEEK plastic injection part aren't just strong – they're also chemically stable. Plus, this process is pretty efficient with material; there's not much waste. And when you're making large batches, the cost per piece drops, so you get better value for your money.
Now, PEEK injection molding isn't perfect – sometimes you can run into a "cold slug" issue. This usually happens if the mold's cold slug well isn't quite right, or maybe there isn't one. During production, when the hot molten plastic hits the cooler mold, the very front of it can cool down too fast because the heat escapes quickly, and that can mess with the final product's quality.
We've spent more than a decade at Guangzhou Ideal working on PEEK molds and injection molding, so we've picked up a lot of know-how along the way. We design molds based on exactly what shape and performance our customers need. We think through every little detail – from where to inject the plastic, how to route the heating and cooling channels, to where to put the vents. For the actual injection process, we've got everything mapped out: drying the raw material, setting the right temperatures for each zone on the machine, and controlling how long we hold pressure and how fast things cool down. Doing all this helps us prevent common quality problems with PEEK injection molded part – like surface marks, air bubbles, shrinkage, or weak weld lines – so you end up with products you can count on.

PEEK injection molded part is seriously tough—it’s strong, hard, and can take a real beating without breaking. Plus, it’s wear-resistant and has this kind of built-in lubrication, so it’s super easy to work with. And if you mix PEEK with stuff like carbon fiber, graphite, or PTFE, it gets even better at resisting wear.
When it comes to mechanical properties, this stuff is no joke.
Pure PEEK has a modulus around 3.6–4.0 GPa, which isn’t exactly low. But if you reinforce it with carbon fiber, that number shoots up to 15–20 GPa—a huge jump. With glass fiber reinforcement, you’re looking at around 4–5 GPa. Because of that, it keeps its spring even at high temps, which basically boosts its heat resistance too.
Acids or alkalis? No problem.
Unless it’s concentrated sulfuric acid, PEEKpretty much ignores most solvents, strong acids, and bases. It’s also really resistant to water, so it’s super stable chemically. That’s why in chemical plants, drug manufacturing, or food processing—even when harsh chemicals are around—it stands its ground. Performance stays solid.
It doesn’t get shaky when things heat up.
PEEK plastic injection part has a high heat deflection temperature, so even when the environment gets hot, it doesn’t really lose its strength or stiffness. This is a big deal in electronics and electrical applications, where things can heat up fast once they’re switched on. PEEK keeps its cool—stays strong and reliable, so your equipment doesn’t go soft or lose performance.
Water won’t wreck it.
Even if PEEK sits in a damp place or gets soaked in water long-term, it doesn’t lose its mojo. Its properties hold up, and it doesn’t change size. That makes it perfect for stuff used underwater, in medical devices, or anywhere things get wet.
It can handle radiation and harsh chemicals.
PEEK stands up to most chemicals—organic solvents, acids, bases, you name it. Even in seriously corrosive industrial settings, it doesn’t break down or lose its edge.
And yeah, it’s seriously slick and wear-resistant.
PEEK injection moulding parts has a low friction coefficient, so it naturally resists wearing out. When things rub against it, there’s less energy wasted, less heat made, and less wear over time. That means whatever you make with it is going to last.
PEEK injection molded part is great for mass production. It delivers top-notch quality without breaking the bank, so it’s got a really bright future.
Electronics & Appliances
When it comes to electronics, PEEK resin is a real star. It’s a fantastic electrical insulator, meaning it doesn’t conduct electricity well. Even when things get really tough—like high heat, high voltage, or super humid conditions—it still keeps doing its job perfectly. That’s why you’ll find it in stuff like wafer carriers, insulating films, connectors, printed circuit boards, and all kinds of electronic parts that need to be reliable.
Food Industry
PEEK plastic injection part is also a big deal in the food world. It’s super stable chemically, doesn’t absorb much moisture, and most importantly, it’s safe to be in contact with food. Because of that, it’s used to make parts for food and drink processing equipment—think conveyor belt chains, valves, seals, and things like that.
Chemical Equipment
Thanks to its amazing ability to handle high temperatures and resist chemical corrosion, PEEK is perfect for making equipment that has to deal with really harsh environments. We’re talking about high heat, high pressure, and strong acids or alkalis. So it’s used in pressure kettles, pipes, pumps, and similar gear.
Automotive Industry
Cars use a lot of PEEK material too. You can find it in engine parts, sensors, electrical connectors, bearings, gaskets, clutch gear rings, and components in pretty much every system—like transmission, braking, air conditioning, steering, and even vacuum pump blades and ABS brake valves.
General Industrial Uses
Because PEEK is naturally slippery and resists wear, it’s an ideal material for making things like bearings, gears, and sliding parts that need to move smoothly without a lot of extra lubrication
Medical & Healthcare
In the medical field, PEEK injection moulding parts is used to make surgical and dental tools, as well as high-precision medical instruments that need to be sterilized often. But perhaps its coolest use is replacing metal to make artificial bones.
