PEEK Products

PEEK products. It actually covers a range of products like PEEK profiles, injection molded parts, and machined components. PEEK—or polyetheretherketone, if you want the full name—is a high-performance engineering plastic known for its really stable properties. Its molecular structure isn’t simple—it's made up of benzene rings, ether bonds, and carbonyl groups linked together like a chain. And it’s exactly this unique setup that gives PEEK its ability to handle high temperatures, resist radiation and chemicals, and deliver seriously high mechanical strength.

Product Description

So how is PEEK products made? Well, there are a few common methods: injection molding, machining, compression molding, and extrusion. Take PEEK profiles—those are usually made by extrusion. If you need a large batch of high-precision parts, then injection molding is the way to go. It’s efficient, cost-effective per part, and saves material. Plus, the products come out super consistent in size, shape, and surface finish, so the quality is really reliable.

Machining is better suited for smaller batches or custom orders. It’s quick, easy to control costs, and really good at handling complex or high-precision parts. Machined parts usually don’t need extra finishing—unlike injection molded ones, which might have burrs or marks—so they’re ready to use straight away. That makes them ideal when you need a super smooth surface.

Then there’s compression molding. That’s mainly used for larger, high-density structural parts. It produces components with great density and mechanical strength, and it can also be used to make PEEK profiles.

Here at Guangzhou Ideal Company, we specialize in custom PEEK part solutions. We’ve got plenty of experience in machining, injection molding, extrusion, and molding. Our facility includes a dust-free injection molding workshop, a clean CNC machining area, and large-scale extrusion equipment. With over 14 years of experience in PEEK mold design and development, our processing techniques are pretty mature. Whether you need PEEK profiles or custom parts, we’ve got you covered. And we offer a full one-stop service—from producing the profiles to processing the final parts—so you don’t have to worry about a thing in between.

Product properties:

How tough is this stuff?

Regular PEEK has a tensile strength around 90 to 100 megapascals – that’s way stronger than a lot of common plastics used in engineering. And if you mix in some glass or carbon fibers, that number jumps up to between 150 and 250 megapascals, putting it in the same league as some aluminum alloys.

It’s also really stiff – it doesn’t like to bend. Its typical bending strength sits around 130 to 150 megapascals, and it has a bending modulus of about 3.5 to 4.3 GPa. Think of that as a measure of how much it resists bending. When you add fiber reinforcement, that stiffness goes way up – the modulus can hit 10 GPa, meaning it’s even more rigid and won’t easily warp under long-term pressure or weight.

How well does it handle heat?

PEEK products is pretty impressive here too. It has a glass transition temperature of 143°C – that’s the point where it starts to get soft. Its actual melting point is way higher, at 334°C. In real-world use, it can keep working non-stop in temperatures up to 250–260°C, and can even handle short bursts up to 300°C. Even under high heat and a bit of pressure over long periods, it won’t give out.

What about when the temperature changes – does it shrink or expand too much?

PEEK is really reliable in this area. Pure PEEK has a thermal expansion coefficient between 4.4 and 5.5 (that’s in units of 10⁻⁵ per Kelvin, measured from 23°C to 150°C). If you add 30% glass fiber, that number drops to between 1.5 and 2.5 – similar to metal. With carbon fiber reinforcement, it can go even lower, below 1.0, which makes it perfect for high-precision parts where dimensions really matter.

Even if you swing the temperature from ice-cold –196°C all the way up to 150°C, its expansion changes by less than 5%. So it basically keeps its shape – no dramatic shrinking or swelling.

Is it wear-resistant?

PEEK part holds up really well against wear and tear, mainly because its molecular structure is super stable and it’s just inherently strong. Its molecular chains include regular ether and ketone bonds, which help it stand up to heat and chemicals. Plus, the molecules are tightly packed and highly crystalline, which makes the material hard and durable – so it doesn’t wear down easily.

Where can you actually use this stuff:

In the auto world, PEEK material is seriously tough—it doesn’t wear down easily and has great mechanical strength. That’s why you’ll often find it in stuff like engine covers, bearings, gaskets, seals, and clutch rings. Swapping out metal parts for PEEK products doesn’t just cut down on weight—it also means things last longer and break less often.

Over in the mechanical field, PEEK products is pretty popular too. It can handle really high temperatures, which makes it a go-to for heat-resistant parts like bearings, sliding pieces, and mechanical seals. A lot of the tools and fixtures used in machining are made from PEEK—it’s strong and doesn’t let you down.

When it comes to electronics and appliances, PEEK gets plenty of use as well. You’ll see it in built-in plugs, high-reliability connectors, cable plugs, and junction boxes. It’s also a common sight in the semiconductor industry—think battery casings, valves, and parts for ultra-pure water systems. It’s just a really good fit for those jobs.

In the energy sector, especially oil and gas, PEEK part is a top pick. Because it stands up to high heat and doesn’t corrode easily, it’s used in things like sucker rods, downhole pump components, valves, and seals. It’s super reliable in those hot, harsh environments where chemicals are everywhere.

Then there’s the chemical and pharma world—PEEK is a lab favorite because it doesn’t react with harsh chemicals. You’ll see it in equipment that touches reagents directly, like bottle caps, pipe fittings, and isolators. It’s safe, lasts a long time, and doesn’t get eaten away by aggressive substances.

The semiconductor industry is also big on polyetheretherketone product. The main reason? It’s a great insulator and has low dielectric loss, which makes it perfect for high-frequency connectors and electronic packaging. You could say it’s pretty much the ideal material for making semiconductors.
