The PEEK milling parts is made from PEEK plastic and machined using a milling process. So, what's PEEK? It’s short for polyether ether ketone—a high-performance engineering plastic with some really great properties. It can handle high temperatures, it’s self-lubricating, resistant to corrosion, doesn’t burn easily, stands up to moisture and wear, and it’s especially tough when it comes to fatigue.
But here’s a common issue when machining PEEK milling parts: thermal expansion. Especially during milling and cutting, if things get too hot, the material can swell up. That often leads to parts coming out not quite the right size. So how do we deal with that? Here are a few practical tips:
The simplest approach is to keep things cool. Make sure you’re using your cooling system properly to maintain a steady temperature while machining. That way, thermal expansion won’t throw off your dimensions as much.
Next, your machining settings matter a lot. Try lowering the cutting speed and feed rate to cut down on heat buildup. Also, go for tools made of carbide or with diamond coating—they reduce friction, which means less heat.
Another thing that helps is what you do after machining. For example, annealing the finished PEEK milling products can relieve internal stresses, so it’s less likely to warp later on.
Here’s another handy trick: When programming, you can include the size of the thermal expansion in advance and make a reverse compensation. When the parts cool down, the size will be just right.
At GuangZhou Ideal, we’ve been machining PEEK products for over 14 years. We’ve worked with thousands of customers, both locally and around the world, and have picked up a lot of real-world know-how along the way. Plus, with our professional equipment, we can make pretty much any PEEK part you need—no matter the shape or size.

Tough and Hard to Wear Out
PEEK milling products is seriously tough—it can take a hit without breaking. The impact strength of the base material is around 10 kJ/m², and after toughening modification, it goes over 15 kJ/m². That’s way better than most common engineering plastics. Even after being stressed millions of times, it hardly loses its strength—performance drops by less than 5%. That’s why it’s perfect for parts like gears and bearings that have to handle power and motion over the long haul.
Easy to Work With, Lots of Ways to Shape It
You can make complex parts fast using injection molding—great for big production runs. But if you need something more custom, no problem. You can also machine it on lathes, mills, or drills to get exactly the size and shape you’re looking for. Super flexible and user-friendly.
Slippery and Long-Lasting
PEEK part has a built-in lubricating effect, which means less friction and way more resistance to wear. In real-world use, that translates to less energy wasted, less heat from rubbing, and less wear on itself. When used in things like gears or bearings, your equipment lasts longer and runs smoother.
Great Insulator
This stuff is a real champ when it comes to insulation. Its electrical resistance is high, and it doesn’t easily conduct electricity. That makes it totally safe to use in electrical and electronic gear where insulation matters—it helps keep everything running safely.
Handles Heat Like a Pro
PEEK milling parts is one of the top heat-resistant specialty plastics out there. It melts only at 343°C, and it’s certified by UL in the U.S. to perform consistently even at 260°C. Push it to 300°C, and it still holds up strong. Standard versions have a heat deflection temp between 135–160°C, but if you go for the glass-filled types, that jumps up—20% glass fiber gets you to 286°C, and 30% gets you all the way to 300°C.
Stays Stable with Temperature Changes
Regular PEEK expands about 45 × 10⁻⁶/°C when heated from room temp up to 150°C. But if you get the version with 30% carbon fiber, that number drops way down to just 2–4 × 10⁻⁶/°C. Glass fiber versions usually sit between 4–8 × 10⁻⁶/°C. What does that mean in practice? It won’t warp or change shape much after machining, which makes it ideal for precision stuff like medical components or electronic chip carriers—anything where keeping exact size really matters.

Is the performance of your products reliable?
We use materials from well-known brands, both local and international. Every batch comes with its own test report, and our product performance is top-tier in the industry. If you want more detailed specs, we can send you the full product info.
How do you make sure the quality is good?
We have a complete quality control system and use advanced testing equipment and labs. There are staff checking every step—from raw materials to the final product—so customers always receive high-quality items.
Can products be customized? How does that work?
Yes, we do customization. You can send us 2D or 3D drawings—common formats like STEP, STP, STL, or IGS work fine. If you have a physical sample, just send it over and we'll take measurements. And if you have special requirements, we can also help with design or adjustments.
Can I return or exchange the goods?
Whether it is semi-finished or customized products, if you find any quality problems, inability to fit the size, or other situations that affect use, please contact us as soon as possible. If it is indeed our problem, we will be responsible for returns and exchanges, and we will cover the round-trip shipping costs. If you place the wrong order yourself or for other personal reasons want to return or exchange (especially for profile blanks), as long as it does not affect our resale, we can arrange it, but the shipping cost will be borne by you.
