Ideal Plastic produces high-quality China PEEK Sleeves. The PEEK Sleeve, simply put, is a long, tubular PEEK component, extensively covering its length. Its primary purpose is long-distance protection and positioning, providing comprehensive wrapping, protection, sealing, and insulation for the shaft. It's typically made from PEEK plastic tubes or rods, machined on a CNC lathe. The material can be plain PEEK, or it can be filled with carbon fiber, glass fiber, or PTFE/graphite.
The PEEK Sleeves provided by Ideal Plastic factory can perform many functions, such as insulation, corrosion protection, high-temperature resistance or heat insulation, long-distance linear guidance, positioning spacers, and limiting distances. These functions are closely related to the properties of PEEK material. PEEK plastic itself is high-temperature resistant, corrosion resistant, self-lubricating, insulating, and lightweight. In extreme environments, it can replace metal or ordinary plastic sleeves, making it a critical component.
Compared to metal or ordinary plastic bushings, these sleeves has significant advantages. First, regarding weight, commonly used PEEK grades have a specific gravity between 1.3 and 1.51 grams per cubic centimeter, while metals have a specific gravity of 8 to 9 grams per cubic centimeter. Therefore, switching to PEEK significantly reduces weight. Next, regarding temperature resistance, PEEK can be used continuously between -196°C and 260°C, while metals can withstand temperatures from -50°C to 400°C. However, metals are not as effective as PEEK at low temperatures and are particularly prone to rusting and oxidation at high temperatures. Ordinary plastics have a very short temperature range. In terms of corrosion resistance, PEEK is almost insoluble in all solvents except concentrated sulfuric acid, a property that metals and ordinary plastics cannot match. Its insulation properties are also very strong. PEEK's volume resistivity can reach over 10¹⁶ ohm-cm, its dielectric constant is as low as 3.2 to 3.3, its dielectric strength is 18 to 19 kV/mm, and its arc resistance time is between 120 and 180 seconds, making it excellent for use in the electronics and electrical appliance fields. Therefore, PEEK Sleeve has a very wide range of applications.
Let's talk about the GuangZhou Ideal. We have over twenty different types of CNC machine tools, such as CNC lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, grinding machines, as well as CNC machining centers and five-axis machining centers. We have over fifteen years of experience in PEEK plastic processing, and we can easily handle all kinds of problems encountered in PEEK Sleeves processing. We use high-quality raw materials, and their various physical properties are among the best in the industry. The appearance quality is also excellent, with smooth and flat inner and outer walls, free of burrs, scratches, cracks, bubbles, shrinkage cavities, or pits. Dimensional tolerances are very precise, with coaxiality and roundness meeting standards, and no ellipticity or eccentricity. Long sleeves also have no bending or deflection issues, and the wall thickness variation throughout the sleeve is very small, avoiding uneven thickness that could lead to variations in pressure resistance and heat resistance.

1.Mechanical Properties: PEEK Sleeves is really good at handling creep and fatigue. If you compare it to plain PEEK without any reinforcement, the glass fiber or carbon fiber reinforced versions are much stronger and stiffer. But once the temperature goes above the glass transition point, that strength and stiffness drop off fast. Still, PEEK has a high melting point and a high glass transition temperature compared to other crystalline plastics, so it stays strong and stiff even above 200°C.
2.Self-Lubrication: PEEK slides really well, which makes it a great fit for applications where you need low friction and high wear resistance. And if you tweak it with the right mix of carbon fiber and graphite, the self-lubricating effect gets even better.
3.Corrosion Resistance: PEEK Sleeve holds up well against most chemicals—acids, alkalis, salts, and organic solvents. Even in pretty harsh chemical environments, it stays stable and doesn’t corrode or break down easily. That’s exactly why PEEK parts have such a wide range of uses in industries like chemicals, petroleum, and pharmaceuticals.
4.Creep Resistance: PEEK has a very low creep rate. Creep is when a material slowly and permanently deforms after being under stress for a long time. With PEEK, even at high temperatures, it barely deforms. For example, at 200°C under high stress, its creep rate is still way lower than polyamide's.
5.When it comes to fatigue resistance, PEEK's performance is actually close to—and in some cases better than—certain metals. Tests show that PEEK can handle over ten million cycles of load without breaking or losing its structure. Compared to traditional plastics, it lasts a lot longer under fatigue and can take high-frequency vibration and repeated stress. That's why PEEK Sleeve is widely used in things like compressor rotors, gears, bearing housings, valve bodies, and other parts that need really good fatigue performance.
6.Radiation Resistance: PEEK also stands up really well to radiation. It can handle ionizing radiation like high-energy ions and UV light without falling apart or failing. That’s why it’s widely used in high-radiation environments like aerospace, nuclear energy, and medical devices.
1.Semiconductor and Microelectronics Industry: Pure PEEK Sleeves doesn’t conduct electricity, doesn’t release particles, and doesn’t give off fumes, so it’s perfect for wafer transport parts like thin guide sleeves and isolation sleeves that go through plates. It can also be used in wet etching, cleaning, and electroplating equipment for things like electrode insulation, lifting rod sheaths, and chemical pipe isolation sleeves.
2.Analytical Instruments and Laboratory Equipment: Thanks to PEEK's high-temperature resistance and corrosion resistance, you can use it to make non-metallic isolation sleeves for test chambers, thermocouple sheaths for high-temperature furnaces, and wiring insulation sleeves for heating elements.
3.Aerospace: PEEK Sleeve handles radiation well and insulates at high temperatures, so it’s a good fit for aerospace equipment—things like high-voltage insulating sleeves and high-temperature isolation parts in airborne electronics.
4.Biopharmaceuticals: PEEK can handle repeated high-temperature sterilization, it's non-toxic, and it doesn’t release much in the way of particles, so it’s used a lot in medical devices like minimally invasive surgical tools, sterilization equipment, and biochemical analyzers.
5.High-End Machinery: PEEK Sleeves has great mechanical properties, wears well, and doesn’t creep much, so it’s great for making long shafts, push rods, plunger guide sleeves, spacer sleeves, and oil pipe protective sleeves in high-end machinery.
